The Decoloniality Network

Fostering shared learning, support, inspiration, and movement building for practitioners of decoloniality.

WHO WE ARE

The Decoloniality Network (TDN) is a collective of individuals and groups focused on unpacking coloniality within themselves and the organizations/sectors in which they work. The Network aims to connect sectors and communities across the globe to establish decoloniality-focused learning spaces, knowledge transfers, and innovation drawing from the diverse backgrounds and experiences of members.

OUR COMMITMENT

TDN is deeply committed to:

  1. Creating dedicated in-person and virtual spaces for community building, support, and knowledge and idea exchanges to deconstruct colonialism within ourselves, in our fields of work, in our organizations, and in the societies we operate within at large.

  2. Centering the voices of marginalized people and collaboratively developing and sharing effective methods of advancing their interests in a variety of contexts.

  3. Collectively developing and offering a suite of services, resources, and tools to support decolonially driven thought and action across sectors.

OUR THEORY OF CHANGE

By cultivating meaningful and intentional spaces for decolonial practitioners in the development, non-profit, civil society, and philanthropic spaces to build trust, knowledge, and community, we can co-develop robust, diverse, and decolonized knowledge and tools to realize the principles of decoloniality within ourselves, in our fields of work, in our organizations, and in the societies we operate within at large.
